NHS LIFT is a vehicle for improving and developing frontline primary and community care facilities. High quality, fit for purpose primary care premises are key to the provision of modern integrated health services. And a community pharmacy can be a crucial addition to an NHS LIFT Centre both in terms of enhancing the overall healthcare proposition and as a net contributor to the business case.

Scrutiny

David Lancaster Associates have played a key role for 14 LIFT Companies in identifying prospective tenants for LIFT healthcentres.

It is crucial that the process for selecting the preferred bidder is fair and robust. It should also be scrutinisable, perhaps by a PCT Chairman, as occasionally there will parties unhappy with outcomes.

The experts at DLA will guide LIFT Co directors throught a recommended process, including invitations to tender, fielding the questions arising from prospective pharmacy , dental and optical tenants; receiving and appraising bids, and providing a full independent audit trail.

Selection

DLA coordinates Pharmacy Interviews and Presentations from those shortlisted, to inform the final selection of the preferred bidder who will enter into the LIFT centre.
